Thursday Night Football Best Bets 12/14/23

ree

We made it to yet another Thursday Night Football! This week, we have an absolute nail-biter matchup with the Las Angeles Chargers (5-8) versus the Las Vegas Raiders (5-8). Let’s not also forget that Justin Herbert is out for the season for the Quarterback matchup will be Easton Stick versus Aidan O’Connell. Let’s be honest, this could be a rough game for two middle-struggling teams, but who knows what will happen. I assembled a few bets that could work for this game. All of the Odds are based on Fanduel below.

Austin Ekeler Any Time Touchdown (+160)

Do I feel 100% about this one, NO, but with a new younger quarterback starting it could be smart to back the vet running back. The Raiders defense is in the middle ranking at 14 according to oddschecker.com. They average 19.5 points per game which could be intriguing to look at Ekeler.

Josh Palmer Anytime Touchdown (+390)

This one is also a riskier option because we are unsure of how they will use Stick. This is Palmer's first game since 10/29. There is a good chance the Stick could connect with Palmer since Keenan Allen is not playing in this game.

Josh Palmer O 32.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Let’s ride the Palmer train! If we look at the previous bet and reasoning we can see that Palmer only had three games below 32.5 receiving yards during his active span. He is WR1 coming into the game so he needs to step up. He also averages 16.4 Yards per Reception which shows that within 2-3 catches he can be above 33 yards.

Khalil Mack to Record a Sack (-158)

Khalil Mack currently has 15 sacks on the year and within the last 4 games he has recorded 2 sacks in 3 out of 4 of them. Also, The Raiders offensive line ranks 28th out of 32nd. Mack should be able to jump in and record a sack against this weaker line.

Hunter Renfrow O 23.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Is Renfrow the top option on the Raiders, NO, is he the second option, NO, but he does have a strong last 3 games. Renfrow has hit over 35+ yards in his last 3 games. I think the line for his receiving yards is so low he has a strong chance to eclipse the yards.

Quick Hit Parlay: I will be taking Renfrow above receiving yards, Palmer above receiving yards, and Austin Ekeler O 29.5 receiving yards (+517).
